I just like plaids

I know, I know, I need to clean up those bags and other miscellaneous paraphernalia.  Well, just as I'm a work in progress, so is this room! ; ) In case you haven't noticed, I'm a sucker for a decent plaid print. I indulge in plaid printed everything: pants, shirts, scarves, shoes, skirts, you-name-it, I like it with a print! Not only are they always fashionable, but you (usually) have the option to wear them with more than one base color. What about you, do you rock plaid prints?

So lady-like!

As a teen in high school, I wouldn't be caught dead in a dress (or skirt). Instead, my wardrobe consisted of baggy jeans, bulky tees, and sneakers. Fortunately, I grew out of my tomboy phase and my attire has matured. Not that I won't rock sneakers, because believe me, I WILL! However, I am now enamored with my refined style of dress. (And mom is happier too!)

Getting better!

With my camera that is. Can you see a difference in the photo quality? I hope so! This was a casual work outfit for me. I really like wearing my Dolce Vita boots because they are SUPER comfortable and I can wear them ALL day without the slightest pinch or discomfort.

I suppose these colors are not quite 'winter-friendly,' but I love to wear bold colors (can't you tell?!?). Please forgive the bags/mess in the background. . .I'm going through a transitional phase! Let me know what you think.

Gearing up for spring!

I've always loved flowered pieces of clothing, but a friend of mine says they remind her of something an old lady would wear. Hmm, I beg to differ!

Last week I decided to participate in an inspiration/inspired look posted by Eboni over at the Fashionista Next Door, but unfortunately, it was too cold to wear what I planned on wearing. Soooo, even though it almost just as cold this morning, I decided to brave the frigid air and finally participate in Eboni's Style Me Friday link up. (Albeit, I couldn't wear what I wanted [aqua blue flowered jeggings]. . .I didn't think that would be a good look for work. . .at least not yet!)

Something like a bumblebee?

Well, that's what my husband said to me the morning I put on this outfit. Hmmph, I beg to differ! As I said in a previous post, orange and yellow are my favorite colors, so I decided to add a little yellow to an otherwise typical black and white duo. I think I pulled it off pretty well...what do you say?!?
